SYSTEM OPERATION:
The system consists of two shielded, 50.8 mm (2") diameter, NaI(TL) scintillation detectors shock mounted in separate, weatherproofed PVC housings. Cables connect the detectors to an easy-to-read digital readout electronics package. The detectors are constructed to withstand temperature extremes. They also have low mass housings to detect low energy gamma isotopes as well as those with medium and high energies.
DETECTOR CONNECTORS:
2 MHV on back panel for the scintillation detectors.
AUDIO:
Switch selectable to provide an audible "click" for each detector pulse and an audible alarm above the alarm set point, an audible alarm only or disable audio output.
AUDIO VOLUME:
Adjustable when audio switch is in the "pulse" position; disabled (full volume) whenever an alarm condition occurs or when audio switch is in the "alarm" position.
ALARM:
Audible, non-latching rate alarm with front panel adjustment from 10% to 30% of full scale with readout on the LCD dislpay; red LED alarm indicator on front panel.
CONTROLS:
Response control, volume control, 4-position mode switch, 3-position audio switch, display reset switch, power ON/OFF switch, rate meter sensitivity switch (internally mounted).
POWER CORD CONNECTOR:
3-wire type with 1/4 amp fuse; UL approved.

DETECTOR STATUS:

Pushbutton switch which quickly zeros the LCD display; red LED alarm indicator on front panel.
RECORDER OUTPUT:
Rear panel BNC connector; provides 100 mV signal for a full scale (20 kcpm or 200 kcpm) LCD display reading. The output will drive 100 kohn loads.
